The Path Of A Photopoet:

Eric’s background, and path of progress as a photopoet - spans three decades of individual and team work;

 

This includes starting out as an advertising and fashion photographer, then working with Getty Images on Corporate and Editorial Assignments; Providing various communication design and production services to high-value international brands, public institutions, and other clients; Being honored as Ghana’s best live, daily, morning TV show presenter in 2011; Serving as a Parliamentary candidate in Ghana’s 2016 general elections, working as a Senior Associate and Head of Corporate and Special Assignments at Capture Ltd, contributing to The Organization for African Development (OAD) as its Program Director; and volunteering as an Advocacy Ambassador for www.oAfrica.org - a charity that supports family-based care for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children Living with Special Needs. Eric is a Creative Director of African Business Communications (ABC)  and a Creative Director of the Progressive Organization for Women's Advancement (POWA), as well as a Chief Operations & Communications Officer of GeniePro - the world's best soccer foot-guard technology for athlete protection and performance.

 

Eric is intrinsically motivated, and his practice of 'Photography As Liberation Pedagogy' via his talent, experience, and drive; along with his global outlook, creative character, and trilingual fluency in English, Russian and German - make him both a strategic asset and a key tactical advantage to any advocacy project, communication team, or media enterprise that he works with.

Eric is the originating founding member of the Foundation for Contemporary Art in Accra, Ghana, and he is currently pursuing his final year of a post-graduate course of studies in Photography at Falmouth University, UK. 

Eric's work has been recently exhibited and published in among others - the 2023 "Africa Fashion" exhibition curated by Dr. Christine Checkinska, Senior Curator of African and Diasporan Textiles and Fashion at 'The Victoria and Albert Museum' (V&A) in London, UK; and at 'The Brooklyn Museum' in New York, USA; as well as at 'The NGV International', Melbourne, Australia; "The 2024 Architectural Biennale" in Rotterdam, Netherlands; "The Gift - Stories of Generosity and Violence in Architecture" curated by Prof. Lukasz Stanek, and Dr. Damien Kokalevski in 'The Technical University Museum of Munich' (TUM) in Germany; and "Artist Intervention: Asutsuare Rebound" - Project MUSE, Future Anterior: Journal of Historic Preservation History, Theory and Criticism, Volume-19, Number-2, Winter-2022, pp.147-155 (Article) Published by University of Minnesota Press, USA.

 

In his private life Eric is a loving Son, Sibling, Husband, Father, and Grandfather; and some his other inspirations include the work of Tchaikovsky, Aivazovsky, Sebastião Salgado, Brian Lanker, Sade, Bob Marley, Morihei Ueshiba, Sun Tzu, Michio Kaku, Khalil Gibran, and Tor Nørretranders.
